Handcrafted in Kashmir using age old embroidery techniques, crewel work is indigenous to this region only.
Each piece of fabric is unique, as different groups of workers are employed for each piece.
Every care is taken to maintain a consistent yarn color & embroidery pattern, however it is not practically possible to maintain perfect matches. There may also be missing yarns / slight staining. This is deemed normal.

    What a find!...

Posted by Jane Wilkie on 4th Aug 2013

I had bought an end of line of this beautiful crewel design some years ago and needed some more for another set of doors. Having found this company they have been fantastic. Communication was good throughout the whole process and the material when it arrived is a perfect match. The only snag was that the final 2 metres arrived seperately. Had that last piece been crucial for the curtain drop I would have had to wait another 10 weeks. Something I would have found challenging in the coldest winter Britain has had for over 50 years. This has been a really wonderful find.
